Come on be fair; I DO understand the concept of evolution.

Unfortunately, the only evidence for this assertion appears to be the statement itself. To suggest that a deity creating man out of dust is not incompatible with evolution can only be justified by the unstated assumption that man did not arise out of the evolutionary process.

Perhaps Mr. DeLucchi could consider the words of that devout Christian and former US President, Jimmy Carter, as quoted in the March / April 2005 edition of the Skeptical Inquirer.

There can be no incompatibility between the Christian faith and proven facts concerning geology, biology, and astronomy. There is no need to teach that stars can fall out of the sky and land on a flat earth in order to defend our religious faith.
