Religion is the principal enemy of moral progress

Anthony:

From your post, I can only presume you view non-belief as conducive to "the moral degradation and ultimate spiritual death of those who are led to believe the lies and deceptions you publish".

The church has been responsible for more lies and deception, twisting of truth, burying of scientific discovery than any other institution in the history of mankind. If the church had had its way, we'd all still be forced to believe that the earth is flat and we are all descended from Adam and Eve.

To quote Bertrand Russell:

You find as you look around the world that every single bit of progress of humane feeling, every improvement in the criminal law, every step toward the diminution of war, every step toward better treatment of the coloured races, or even mitigation of slavery, every moral progress that there has been in the world, has been consistently opposed by the organized churches of the world. I say quite deliberately that the Christian religion, as organized in its churches, has been and still is the principal enemy of moral progress in the world.

Anthony, like many of your ilk, you really are holier-than-thou, sanctimonious and ill informed.
