I do take the Bible seriously

Amber Fawver is amazed anyone would doubt the existence of Satan. Doesn't the Bible clearly state his existence?

Well, yes, and then again no. The Bible does mention Satan but isn't altogether clear about what or who he is and what is role is in the plans of the Almighty.

Why the rant on believing films and philosophies? First of all, I am personally not in the habit of blindly accepting everything autobiographies, filmed or not, tell me and I suspect most agnostics aren't either. Secondly, I have never heard of any philosopher making up a religion in his spare time. At all.

There is, further, a difference between adhering to, say, the ideas of behaviorism and firmly believing the world was created in six days, or that some fantastical Satan-person exists.

Mind you, I am a Christian. I do take the Bible seriously and believe in its message to us. You'll agree with me that anyone outside the faith has absolutely no reason to accept any propositions made in a book.

The Bible, for that matter, is hardly the oldest book in the world.
