The Big Bang in the Bible

Although Christians are supposed to have a real handle on God, strangely they don't know his book very well because it really does mention the big bang or something akin to but you will never hear this preached from any pulpit:

  1. It is he that sits upon the circle (translation - 'rotate') of the earth...that stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spread them out as a tent to dwell in (Isaiah 40:22 see also Isaiah 42:5)
  2. "Who covers yourself with light as with a garment: who stretches out the heavens like a curtain." (Psalm 104:2)

The phrase 'stretched out or stretches out' means just that, 'to stretch or spread out' which means 'something caused the universe to exist and expand'.

The word 'curtain' used in both of the Bible references means 'to be broken up with any violent action' but the translation also suggests a 'collapse' of something.

Anti-matter is simply the reverse process that formed matter - subjectively the universe could have had an anti-matter bang that created the matter scientists call 'dark matter' (curtain) which the universe is comprised of. Christians would do well to start listening to the scientists.
