Discussion 4 to Meditation 585
Logically without meaning

Both Meditations 585 and 589 use assumptions held by many (though certainly not all) believers and take those particular assumptions to their ultimately absurd conclusions.

You changing those assumptions does absolutely nothing to undermine either Meditation, as neither is intended to address those alternative assumptions. You might as well try throwing Bishop Spong's theology at me to show both Meditations are wrong, But neither article is targeted at Spong's vision of a Christian God.

Further, arguments which might be presented by Augustine which contain their conclusion within the initial premises are logically without meaning.
